CotaiJet back in businessMacau has another ferry operator … again. After the Macau Macao Intermediate Court last week removed an interim injunction against the Venetian’s CotaiJet service, the company relaunched its ferries its ferries at the weekend. The CotaiJet service was first launched in late November last year, and had been operating for less than two weeks before being suspended by the court order, pending a challenge from a rival concession-bidder against the government. It has now resumed service between the Hong Kong Macau Ferry Terminal in Sheung Wan and the newly opened Taipa Temporary Ferry Terminal. Tickets can be purchased online at www.cotaijet.com.mo. (Note: there is a domain squatter occupying the www.cotaijet.com address; don't be surprised.) For a look around the inside one of the CotaiJet ferries, please see our video clip from the day the service launched here. |
