StarWorld crowns King of Baccarat

The StarWorld Hotel and Casino crowned its King of Baccarat at the weekend, with the winner walking away HK$10 million richer. Jiang Zhejin, from Hubei province, beat eight other contestants in the final round of the tournament.

It was an action-packed and festive occasion, watched by a large crowd on the main gaming floor, and helped by the presence, no doubt, of six “goddesses of gambling” – top models from Hong Kong – who took part in the charity event.

The tournament, which began its preliminary rounds in September with more than 100 participants, was hailed as a breakthrough for the StarWorld internationally.

“This is the first baccarat tournament to be held by StarWorld, and the players’ enthusiasm has been way beyond our expectations, with all candidates being masters of baccarat in their own right,” said Ciaran Carruthers, COO. “I can confirm that, in the future, StarWorld will be holding even more creative activities and competitions so that guests can enjoy all the fun of the game as well as win great prizes.”
