Expo finishes with pizzazz

The Wine & Gourmet Asia Expo was brought to a lip-smacking close at the weekend with number of elite lunches and dinners presided over by visiting masterchefs, including Alain Passard from L'Arpege in Paris, Justin North from Sydney's Becasse, David Laris from Three on the Bund in Shanghai, Jereme Leung from Whampoa Club in Shanghai.

The five-day fun-packed gastronomic event offered something for everyone as it showcased the very best in fine wines and gourmet food. For wine lovers, there was a great collection available courtesy of Chateau Cos d'Estournel and Paul Jaboulet Aine. Top chefs such as Kristoffer Luczak from Crown Macau, and Peter Find from Wynn Macau, also presented their signature dishes sprinkled with lessons on how to create them.

At the same time, the three-day trade fair at the Venetian Macao attracted an endless stream of visitors, of which nearly three-quarters were believed to be from outside of Macau. Exhibitors in general said they were pleased by the event.
