Okada reopens with a bangWynn Macau celebrated the reopening of their Japanese restaurant Okada with a poolside party of celebrities, Taiko drummers, synchronized swimmers, and jazz performers last week. Celebrities Vanessa Yeung, Ankie Beilke, Ana Maria Adorno-Rivera, Balia Chan, Galie Lai and Sofie Rahman mingled with guests as Japanese drummers heralded the arrival of Chef Hiro (Hirofumi Imamura) and sake sommelier Sachii Imamura from Wynn Las Vegas. “I want to introduce people to traditional Japanese preparation of food combined with the best ingredients available, and raise their understanding of fine dining as it is enjoyed in Japan," Chef Hiro says. "At Okada, guests can try Japanese food paired with the perfect sake from our expert sake sommelier, for an amazing dining experience.” Okada is known for its tempura, teppanyaki, robatayaki and sushi. Signature dishes include scallop ceviche with yuzu foie gras butter; steamed Chilean sea bass with assorted mushrooms in paper parchment (wax paper); roasted Australian wagyu beef with wasabi oroshi and pan-seared yellowtail with miso marinated foie gras in truffle teriyaki sauce.
