Colorful floorplay at the Sands

Incredible energy, bright colors and fast moves. The Burn the Floor dance troupe heats up the Sands theater from now through September 9.

Eighteen dancers from Australia, the U.S., Sweden, Italy, Ireland, Russia and Germany take the traditional movements of ballroom dance and spice each step of the Waltz, Tango, Cha Cha, Salsa and Rumba with flirtatious, seductive and unrestrained choreography from Austrian dancer Jason Glikison.

The dancers, dressed in bright hues of red, orange, green, purple and yellow costume move swiftly across the stage and occasionally dance among the audience (for a few laughs). By the end of it, you might want to just get up and dance or walk out singing "Rolling in the River".
