Viva heads for land of OzViva Macau's inaugural Sydney-Macau flight took off for the first time yesterday after a one week delay, but just in time for the Venetian Macao opening next Tuesday. The Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) in Australia approved the thrice-weekly flights between the two cities yesterday. As we reported last week, Viva was not able to get off the ground on time due to a communication lapse over technical issues between Australian and Macau airport authorities. Viva CEO Con Korfiatis says he is "grateful for the understanding of all affected passengers who were scheduled to fly with the airline on August 15 -16, August 18 -19, and August 20 -21, 2007." The service is operated by Boeing 767 wide-body aircraft, offering two-class seating: Premium Class and Economy Class. For more information visit: www.flyvivamacau.com |
