Reggie Martin departs Westin

Macau's U.S. Warden Reggie Martin has moved on from the city's Westin Resort to join the Venetian Macao. Martin served as Club Manager at the resort in Coloane for four years before joining the Venetian just ahead of the Manchester United game on Monday.

We spoke with Westin Resort Macau General Manager Humayoon Shaikhzadeh who said he is happy to see Martin move on to a new challenge.

“This is something he has been wanting for a long time, and it is something I wished for him as a friend,” Shaikhzadeh said. “His background is in sports as an ex-basketball player and his strength lies in the gift of the gab. He has always maintained a good relationship with the Venetian and I believe he's moved on to look after sports and events for them - a role that would certainly suit him.”

Meanwhile, next week, the Westin will bring on board a new Director of Sales and Marketing, Cindy Lui. Ms. Lui will be based in Macau and replaces Annette Sasaki, who formerly held the role in Hong Kong.

Ms. Lui will officially join the Westin Resort Macau on August 1, and she comes to Macau from her previous role as Director of Sales and Marketing based in Shanghai.

“Cindy's experience with the Westin in Shanghai as well as the Shangri-La and InterContinental groups in catering and convention sales is ideal for this role, and she will be stationed in Macau,” Shaikhzadeh said.
