Dee Dee Bridgewater in concert

Dee Dee Bridgewater, jazz singer and UN Ambassador in the fight against world hunger, will perform at the Macau Cultural Center on September 1.

Bridgewater has won Grammy Awards for her tribute to her personal jazz hero – Ella Fitzgerald – and the Tony Award for “Best Featured Actress” in a Broadway Musical – The Wiz.
Her jazz career took off in the 1970s when she played and recorded with such jazz legends as Sonny Rollins, Dizzy Gillespie, Dexter Gordon, Max Roach and Roland Kirk. Her Macau performance will feature French ballads from her 2005 “J’ai deux amours” record and she will also perform some old jazz favorites.
