Bungee-jumping: take the plunge

Bungy pioneer AJ Hackett braved fierce winds in December to set a new Guinness World Record for the highest bungy jump from a building. And that building is the 233-meter Macau Tower.

Actor Edison Chen, known for his role in Infernal Affairs, took his first-ever bungy jump shortly after AJ, setting another Guiness World Record for the highest commercial bungy jump facility.

You too, can set your own record and take the plunge from the Macau Tower for MOP888 and walk away with a certificate, membership card and T-shirt.

If the bungy isn't for you, you could try another hair-raising stroll 233 meters above the city or atop the tower’s mast, a two-hour “experience of a lifetime” climb. (To book in advance call 853-9888 656).

The tenth tallest free-standing structure in the world, and eighth tallest in Asia, Macau Tower boasts three high-speed glass-fronted lifts that whisk visitors up on a "cloud ride" to its observation deck, cafe and lounges to take in breathtaking panoramic views of the city and the neighboring Zhuhai from a height of 233 meters. The less adventuresome can enjoy ground level attractions for adults and kids like the bungee trampoline, rock climbing wall, and Belle-epoch carousel.
